Liminal Space

by Peter Webb

Liminal Space is Atlanta artist Peter Webb's debut album. Through it, Webb shares his own perspective in territories of songwriting cliché: honesty, emotion, uncertainty, fear. The songs are informed by time spent in the wilderness as much as time spent in the urban environment; reflections on the paradox of a life split between the two. Expression through the medium of lyrical verse is the focal point here, supported musically by Webb and his peers.  Overwhelmingly, the sentiments are about process -- the process of deconstructing the dominant, damaging narratives of our society; the process of getting close to other people; the process of overcoming darkness; the process of subduing one's own impediments to presence of mind and powerful experience.
